The region’s limestone- and marl-rich soils, combined with varied slopes, give Pinot Noir and Chardonnay their distinctive character. Producers such as Domaine Parigot Père & Fils are at the heart of this tradition, with celebrated expressions from Beaune-Grèves Premier Cru, Volnay “Les Echards,” and Pommard “Clos Beauder.” Their wines exemplify the elegance and structure of Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir.

Further north, Alain Hudelot-Noëllat brings the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny to life, with supple, aromatic Pinot Noirs that highlight Burgundy’s ability to combine delicacy with depth.
